ABORTIVE INCENDIARY ATTEMPT.
THE TRANSVAAL COMMISSIONER OF FOLICK'S liom Received 18Hi, 11.40 p.m. Capetown, June 18. While certain leading persons were in his house, Colonel O'Brien, Commissioner of Police at Johannesburg, noticed a pungent smell, and a man was seen escaping over the fence. An outbreak of fire was traced to the basement among trunks Saturated with benzine. The basement was promptly flooded.
