The late resignation of cx-Captaiu Ilellier and departure of Rev. Dent (chaplain) are regretted. Captain Lellier has had a long connection with the corns Add Waitara. '"

_ Mr A. W. Ogle's fine block of buildings is now completed, and is an ornament to the town—six fine shops and ollices—all occupied, gracing the main street, where, four months ago, lay a heap of fire-blackened ruins. The work has been expeditiously and elliciently eirried out by our local builders, Messrs Wickham Bros. The handsome inbri. or of Mr Ogle's own chemist shop calls for special mention.
