The presence of Chinese was in the high<vt degree ininiiea.. The Government e ::- templateil a Conciliation Bill to prevent strikes. The Government had given notice of withdrawal from the Customs Convention. Mr. Botha said the Government was not opposed to the principle of the Customs Union.
