RACING IN AUSTRALIA. PINK-'UN UNDER SUSPICION. j Received loth, 5.27 p.m. Melbourne, June 13The erstwhile New Zealand racehorse, Pink-'L'n, to-day ran unplaced in the Richmond Handicap. The stewards subsequently held an enquiry, and decided, though not satisfied with the way the horse was ridden, to give the parties concerned the benefit of the doubt, but cautioned them. TURF TOPICS. Weights for the Napier Park meetinfg are due on the 21st inst. Handicaps for the New Zealand Cup are due on Ist September. The C.J.C Grand National Meeting commences at Riccarton on 13th August and will be continued on the 15th and 17th of that month.

Loch Fyne, one of the double winners at the recent A.R.C. Winter Meeting, is trained by J. B. Wiliamson.

W. Wilson, who was injured when Irish fell in the Wanganui Steeples, had the winning mount on Kiatere in the Great Northern Steeples. Ucnuku, who won the York Welter at the A.R.C- Meeting, is by Stepniak— Rainbow. Waitati who 'appropriated the Fitzroy Welter, is by Lord Koslyn— Jennie, and was bred by the Hon. 11. Mosman.

Cuiragno's dam. Lady Agnes, is a daughter of Nelson, from Lady Agnes. Cuiragno was bred by the Duder Bros., of North Shore, Auckland.

Glass Doll, who won the Epsom Oiks, is a daughter of Isinglass. Birkenhead, whose stock are racing successfully in this country, is closely related to the English DerSjy winner Orby, both being by that great sire Orme, one of the best sous of Ormonde, who is credited with winning the Triple Crown in 18SU- Another instance of sticking closely to winniw strains in the matter of breeding the thoroughbred.

Solution is stated to look in splendid health a- the result of ,ier four months' spell. The daughter of Sonlt has been nominated for all the big handicaps. Solution has joined ;he temi under the charge of M. Cannody.
