WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. On Saturday we hail a better entry of poultry; prices still about the same. Fowls, Is 2d to Is 4d; roosters, Is to Is 7d; pullets, Is Od to 2s; ducks, Is 4d to Is 8d; hedge plants and fruit trees met with fair value. Fruit is still very scarce, and only small supplies coming forward. Omata: We held our usual sale at Omata yesterday. Despite the heavy downpour we had a good attendance, and prices about the same. Nearly every lot sold at tlie hammer or privately. We quote: Calves, mixed, 15s; empty heifers, 30s to 355; old cows, 25s to 40s; 20 months steers, 4fis; emty cows. 40s; bulls, 23s to 355; bullocks, £l2 10s. At Mr McMillan's clearing sale following there was a good muster of buyers, but the heavy rain kept many away. Prices, considering the earliness of the
sale must be considered satisfactory. Empty heifers brought 35s to 3fls; old cows, 37s Od to 455; cows in milk and to calve, 50s to AOs; forward springers, £3 10s to £5 17s 6d; lmll, S3 10s. Implements sold at satisfactory prices. Next Omata sale July 12.
SHARE MARKET. R. Woodltouse, shareliroker, reports the following business and prices for the week ending 14th June:—Taranaki Petroleums (paid up), 30 at 15s 3d, 20 at' His, 50 at 15s (id, and 20 at ICS; contributing (7s fid paid), 75 at (Is; llawera Gas, 2 parcels of 100 at £1 2s, Wnihi 12 at £8 18s fid. Very little business is being done in Petroleums; the market is hardening. Sellers are asking lfis and lfis fid, and buyers arc scarce. 1 have sellers of outside parcels of oils at 15s Bd, Ins 0.1, and IBs, in parcels of 100 and upwards.
