AUSTRALIAN MAIL CONTRACT

VICTORIA WILL GIVE WHOLE GUARANTEE, Melbourne, June 14. The mail contract has developed another phage. . Victoria has now agreed to contribute the whole amount oi the guarantee ocbentures, with certiin stipulations which will exclusively benefit Victoria. The stipulations' include a first mortgage over the vessels, the guarantee to be inoperative till eight steamers are built. All possible repairs and victualling are to be done in Melbourne. Victoria is to have first call over 1200 ■tons of refrigerated space per vessel during the butter and fruit seasons.

She is also to have representation on the London and Melbourne Boards.
