Mutton—Market steady, but demand only moderate; holders linn; supply of light weight mutton increasing; average price to-day 4d for Canterbury brands and 3%d for North Island. T.amb.—Market remains firm, and there is good demand for all classes, especially heavy weights; Canterbury »'/ 2 d, other brands r>y 4 d. Hoof.—Market firm, and prices continue to advance, hind and fore quarters 3%d an 3Vi.il respectively. Butter— Market firm, and superior grades in demand. New Zealand supplies running short; choicest qualities 'Jfls per cwt. Cheese.—Firm, with improved demand for New Zealand makes; white cheese 07s, colored 05s per cwt. llenip. —Market depressed owing to reports from Manila which indicate that shipments are likely to increase, flood fu: - giv-!o on spot quoted ;C33. and fair grade in same position ;C2B 10s. Tlic value of fair current Manila on spot is £35 10s. Cocksfoot seed—Market firm; bright, clean dressed 54s per cwt. Wool.—Market remains firm.
