MAIN TRUNK RAILWAY.
Per Press Association. Taihape, June 1. The section of the Taihape-Mataroa railway was formally opened by Mr Remington, member for Rangitikei, this afternoon. (Several congratulatory speeches were made. A telegram was read from Hon. Mr MeXab. Acting-Min-ister for Railways, regrettiug his absence from the oflicial opening, and also from Die Acting-Premier. A large number of visitors were present.
