Mr Harry suggested on Saturday that it would not be dillieiill to count the attendances of some of the Teachers' Institute meetings. A member of a certain firm doing business in thu township decided to proceed thither per motor car. Everything went well on the journey, and the car entered the township at a good smart pace under the admiring eyes of the country folk. A graceful curve was made in order to negotiate a side road, when, io! in tne (winkling of an eye the car was pulling aimlessly with (wo front wheels up a slight bank. The steering stenr hail broken, aud the motor car had to be wheeled to a blacksmith's for repairs. It is very fortunate for the motorist that: the accident did not happen coming down any of the hills, or there niigat have been serious consequences.
