MIK NEW PLYMOUTH BOROUGH Council notifies its intention to INTRODUCE A BILL at the next sitting of Parliament, the Short Title whereof is "The Borough of New Plymouth Klectric Loan anil Waterworks The object of the Bill is to validate all proceedings in respect of a special loan of £1(1,000 in connection with the Klectric Light Installation, and a special j loan of €IOOO in connection with the Waterworks, notwithstanding that expenditure took place and liabilities were incurred prior to submission of both loan proposals to ratepayers. (JIHE WAITARA HARBOR BOARD licrcby give public notice that the Board proposes to introduce into the General Assembly at its next session a Local Bill as above. The objects intended to be affected by the said Bill arc as follows:
(1) To constitute the Waitara Harbor District comprising an area, including the Borough of Waitara, and portions of the Counties of Clifton and Taranaki, and to provide that such area shall remain liable for rates for payment of interest and sinking fund on the existing loan of £200,000 borrowed by the New Plymouth Harbor Board, or on the amount of any future loan or loans which the New Plymouth Harbor Board may hereafter raised, for the purpose of paying oIV the balance of such existing loan, but for 110 other purpose whatsoever. (2) To authorise the Board to borrow a sum not exceeding ;C7OOO, for the purpose of re-building the bridge over the Kiver Waitara within the Borough of Waitara, and to mortgage certain endowments as security therefor.
