RIFLE SHOOTING.

A. TRIANGULAR MATCH. The match between the Taranaki Rillcs, Taranaki Guards and Huiroa took place on the Rewa Revra range on Thursday. The day was bright, but the Sight none too good, and abafllmg "corkscrew" wind militated against good scoring. The match resulted in a win for the Taranaki Rifles by 30 points from the Guards, who were eight points in front of Huiroa, Mr C. Speck, of Huiroa, made the top score of 94 out of a possible 105. For the first time in many years there were complaints about the ammunition, four shots failing to reach the targets, luncheon was eerved on the range. Scores

Tlio members of the Huiroa Kifle Club were the guests ot the town volunteer companies at a dinner and social at the Troeadero on Wednesday, and returned koine by yerterday afternoon's train.
