SHORTAGE OF SHEEP TRUCKS.
i Per Press Association. ■ | Palmerston North, May 29. j A meeting of delegates from both coasts, representing the producers, A. end P. Societies, shippers and freezing companies, was held to-night to consider the inconvenience caused by the soortage of sheep trucks. It was resolved that, seeing that bit sheep and lamb trade is the only harvest for many, it is essential they innst be trucked to freezing works as soon as possible, and tiit- Minister of Railway* 'be asked to provide further trucks, and to arrange so that there would be no delay when shipping stock at stations. It was also asked that a much better system be adopted it I country stations, and fortyeight hours' notice should be given 'in the event of trucks being not ready when ordered. It was decided tliot copies of the resolutions to the Minister for Railways, and also to several members or the House., so Hint they can make representations in Hie event of the request not being acceded to.
