The demands if the men were for a 45 hours' week, wages from ,C2 Ss to C.I ills, mid for youths from Ills to ".'is, -with the usual holidays and overtime allowances. The •mployers' counter-proposals were for a (X hours' week. Dailv wages from 5s to Is, wi(li lower overtime rates than the men demand. The hearing has not yet linislied.
