'! he i umbrella, broken in two. was pr.-dmvd in court, and a witness saiil it sleek in the constable's face as in a turnip. 'The medical evidence showed that there were two wounds, and eventually the palient had laryngytis. and 'Decame comatose. Th" inquest w-i" adjourned for a week for further medical evidence. Ivu-lier in the day Dunning was brought before the court on a charge of manslaughter, and remanded. Tn reply to the charge she said, "Cod forbid Unit I did it maliciously."
