RIFLE SHOOTING.
The Taranaki Rifles, Taranaki Guards, Stratford Ritles, and Iluiroa Ititle Club were to have lired the return quadrangular match at the ilewa Uewa range on Thursday. By list night's mail, However, a letter was received notifying that owing to local holidays the Stratford team is unable to take part, and a t riangui.tr match will result. Tlic visitors are due to arrive on Wednesday, evening by the 7.30 train, and will bj entertained at tlio Trocadero.
The match commences on Thursday morning at 8.30. Luncheon Is to he provided at the range. The following are the teams: —
Lilies: Captain Okey, Col.-Sergeaut Lister, Corporals Armitago and Bruce, Privates A. Humphries, A. Marett, and T. Marett; emergency, Lieufc.-Col. Okey. Iluivoa Rifle Club: Messre C. Speck (captain), W. Speck, A. Speck, Gemmel, il'pson, Kippenberger, and. Blair. The Guards team will' be picked from tile following: Licuts. Messenger and Boon. Col.-Sergt. Hartwell, Sergt. Oliver Privates Short, Fowler, P, G. McEwen, Xich.lls, and Bennett.
