At Stratford on Tuesday 1 had a unusually big yarding, fully 2500 head of cattle coming forward. a conquerable number being liig bullocks.of good quality from Wliangamomona. There was a very large attendance, and competition was good for nearly all linos, owing no doubt in a great measure to the partial failure of the Uirni|> crop. Bidding for the majority of the big cattle did not reach vendor's reserves. All young steers were in good demand and sold at satisfactory prices. WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Poultry.—We had a good entry on Saturday, prices being unchanged. Hens made Is to Is 3d, pullets Is (id to 2s, ducks Is 8d to 2s Id, chicks Gd to 7d, Bantams Is. Fruit is still very scarce. Pears 3s Gd to 5s Gd apples 3s to os, melons >/ 2 d lb. YICKERS AXD STEVENS' REPORT. Viekcrs and Stevens report that there was a good entry of eattle in their Inglcivood yards on Wednesday, and bidding was much better than a't last sale. Calves made 12s to Kis Gd, 18 to 20 months steers £2 Os Gd, store cows £1 5s to £2 15s, spring calvers £2 to £3 7s Od, good 2% year old heifers in calf £3 7s Gd to £4, springers £3 to £4, 15s, f.m. ewes in lamb 10s Oil to 12s Oil, working bullocks £0 15s to £l7 15s per pair, drays and sundries at good prices. .IEKKIXS, MATTHEWS, & PIGGOTT REPORT. We had a good muster of all classes of cattle at our I'reiiui yards on .Monday, and., although bidding dragged a good deal at the hammer, most lines which were passed ill were sold privaiclv.
