FATHER AND CHILD BURNED TO DEATH. London. March 23. Exciting scenes were witnessed at fires which occurred at Belfast and Thornton Heath on Saturday and yesterday. A father and his two-year-old son were burned to death at Belfast, and three children were rescued at Thornton Heath. The fire at Belfast occurred at the dwelling house of a commercial traveller named Arthur Higginson, who awoke to ffnd his house in llames. Mrs. Higginson mw about to leap into the'' street when a ladder was brought by means of which .-die was rescued.
