DANGEROUS YOUTHS.
Per Press Association. Dunedin, May 20. A party of motorists had a very unpleasant experience indeed on Sunday. Mr F. D. Bamford and his wife and two two sons, with Mr Terminger acting as chauffeur, were proceeding iu Mr Bamfield's motor car from Dunedin to Waititti. About a quarter of a mile past the Junction, the car was suddenly bombarded with a shower of stones and earth, evidently thrown down on the party by someone concealed on the bank above the road. One clod of earth struck Mr. liamficld on the temple with great force, breaking his spectacles and completely dazing him. His sons and the chauffeur (the latter rather badly cut), however, rushed to the road side fence, and flaw thre lads, of about 16 to 18 years of age, running away. Chase was given, lint eventually they got away. The matter has been put in the hands of the police.
