CORRECTED FIGURES. Brisbane, May 20. Mr. Bowman, Labor leader, claims that the election is a triumph for the direct Labor movement. Considering that the party went to the country divided, Labor holds the goldeu key of the position.
Mr. Philp, leader of me Opposition, is disappointed at the result. It will be impossible, through this complication of for an effective Government to be set up. Corrected figures are: Ministerial 24. Opposition 28, Labor 20.
OPPOSITION LEADER'S VIEW. EXPECTS ANOTHER ELECTION WITHIN A YEAR. Received 20th, 11.54 p.m. Brisbane, May 20. Mr. Philp declared there was more likelihood of Mr. Kidston coming to an understanding with Labor than with Ins party. The arrangement, however, would be so difficult to formulate and so likely
to terminate absolutely, that he predicted'another election within twelve months.
