To the Editor. Sitv-R- your analysis of figures and wt.es <>f the lat<» election. Your analysis is just about on a par with all tile rilV-ra!)' of the so-called Liberal party--it is i3i>t true. Your liberalism is spurious. You seem to think that you can work out things to'your own liking, just us you might work out sonic mathematical problem and determine events; hut vou cannot do it. Men cannot be 'masters of cireunHances. When men become self-willed, self-conlideut, and boastful, God sees lit to frustrate, their evlt (Ye- 1 signs, and sends splits and confusion into their camp. Before another general election comes round the Government may depreciate considerably. It is foolishness to predict what the next chance will bring about. Those who are bragging as to what they will do, may be In their graves before that time comes, the future is with Cod only. We are all Cod's •reatures, and God will be acknowledged sooner or later or there will be loss and trouble. Corrupt mankind was in a majority when Christ was put to death, but lie defeated their purpose, and lie will reign until lie hath put all enemies under Hjs feet.—l am, etc., •TAMES FORTUNE.
