BURGLARIES.
Pei- Press Association. Waihi, May 17. There was a daring robbery of jewellery valued at £SO, and cash totalling £2O, from a boarding-house. The thief entered through the back door and escaped through the bedroom window. The eashbox and jewel case were found in an adjoining hedge. Napier, May 17. A safe was taken out of the Desk Supply office at the Port and found in a battered condition in a lagoon. Fortunately it bad contained nothing. Two men named Brock and Barletlett have been arrested.
