A TRIP HOME.
A few years ago one had io lie a person of means to alTord the expenses of a trip to the Old Country. Now, rapid transit, reduced fares, and greatly improved steamer accommodation in ail departments, have, made the journey one far easier of accomplishment. Messrs. A\ ilsou and Nolan, the New Plymouth agents for the N.D.li. Imperial mail steamers from Australia to Hurope, have forwarded us a couple of booklets, giving full information concerning the trips, fares, and accommodation. The booklets, printed on good paper, contain illustrations of some of the very flue steamers engaged in the service, such as the "Kronprinz Wilhclm,' of 13,000 tons, wiili a speed of IV/, knots; ("irosser Kiirfurst, 13,182 tons; Bremen, 11,57(1 tons; liesides sectional pielurcs showing the mag niticeuce of the appointment. One of the booklets is meant for saloon (first and second class) passengers, whilst: the other deals entirely wiili the third-class. The improvements made by (his lino in third-class, accommodation are such that every comfort is obtained by travellers. the cabins being complete, with all modern conveniences, whilst the deck accommodation is said to lie superior to that of any other mail line.
