A SUSPICIOUS DEATH.

Suspicious eircuiustances in connection with the death of a girl named .Minnie Kitcvhen, who died rather suddenly on Monthly, have induced tiie authorities to adopt unusual precautious, ponding bacteriological examination to ascertain whether the cause of death was blood poi-oning. Strictest measures have been taken in enforcing iiuaraiitine. Later. The quarantine in the case of Minnie Kitchen applies to her home residence, and the business premises in Queen street in which the girl was employed.
ANOTHER DEATH. | Auckland, May 15. Following on the death on Sunday from acute septicaemia of Miss Kitchen, a young woman of about 25, who had been employed at the same place as a typist, developed similar symptoms today, and died on her way to the hospital. Strict precautions are being taken to prevent a spread.
