TRAMWAY STRIKE.
BOTH SIDES FIXED. Per Press Association. Auckland, May 14. The Arbitration Court's judgment in Uie citations of the Auckland Electric Tramway Company and two employees, in connection with the tramway strike last November, was given this afternoon by Mr. Justice Sim. ''We hold," his Honor said, "that the company did not have good cause for dismissing the men except Boyce, and we impose a line of ,1)5, and order the company to pay the fees of the Court and witnesses'' expenses, to he taxed by the Clerk of Awards. But the company is not to pay the expenses of any witnesses called exclusively to prove' it was not the duty of the men to teach learners. In regard (o the two employees, Michael E. Farrelly and Edward Fletcher, charged with having committed a breach of the Act by taking part in a strike, hi 3 Honor said it appeared that this shortlived strike was unpremeditated without organisation, and might not have occurred but for the want of tact displayed by the company's o/lieials. A fine" of £1 without costs was initiated in each ease.
