A» inquest. was hold to-night concerning the death of Henry A. U Ferguson, of I lalswoll, who died last night from injuries received as a result of a collision between the trap which lie was driving and a trad inn engine standing bv the side of the Italswell road. Evidence was given that the engine was drawn up close to the fence, and out of the path of trallie, and lights were shown both fore and aft. The deceased and his groom, who was with liini in the trap, visited the Halswell Hotel shortly before the accident, hut the licensee refused to servo them for the reason that they were under the inlluence of liquor. The inquest was adjourned, so that the evidence of the groom might be procured.
