To the Editor. Sir.—Arc wo to hear nothing more about a certnin '■meeting under the pines" spoken .of I>y one Councillor at last week's meetingV It is too bad to raise public curiosity for noting. Judging by (lie context tluit meeting must have had the support of the Mayor's presence. Was it official, semiofficial, or dnmmy-ollicial? Or was it only a joke? And, if a joke, why not the rest of us join in the 'laugh!— I am, etc., "WANT TO KNOW."
