TOBACCO-CHEWER'S DEATH.

At tlie impicst of Caroline Cress, licensee of the Wairau Valley accommodation house, the evidence showed that deeeaseil had been slowly poisoned by chewing tobacco, a habit which, aflcr twelve months, cost her her life. A verdict of death by nicotine poisoning, taken whilst of unsound mind, was returned.
