Junes and Co., brewers, of Hamilton, pleaded guilty to sending overproof beer into the King Country, and wcrtf filled £4, with costs £8 IDs. A. Hyde, of To Awainatu, on a >'imilar charge, was fined £1 and costs C 4. John Nicliolls, for selling liquor within a prohibited area, was sentenced to three months' h.tnl labor. Frank Hhodes and ,1. M. Singleton (first offenders) were lined £1 and 5s respectively for introducing liquor into the native kianga of Taumarunui. William Blair was convicted on a charge of keeping for sale nine bottles of whisky, und was lined £5 and costs £4 9s.
