I The Hawera Mounted Rifles were granted permission to hold a sports meeting on the Egmont R.C. grounds on .June 2b'th, and thoir programme was approved. Mr W. 11. E. WanUlyn, secretary to the Racing Conference, notified that the annual Conference would meet in July, and that notices of motion should reach him before 29th May. Dates of race meetings must he fixed and forwarded to the Metropolitan Committee before June Ist, appioved by them and sent forward to the Oonfereuc before June 30th.

A trainer's lieeu-c was granted to J. Milne, and a jockey's license to R. Gilbert, (apprentice to"j. Gallagher, both of Hawera.
