A CAMP TRAGEDY.

ARREST OF MURDERER. Melbourne, April 20. The police have arrested at Broadmeadows a young German named Sehonbeer in connection with the murder of Panton. Prisoner confessed that while he and Panton were camping together on April 18 they quarrelled owing to his refusal to agree to a certain sutrgestion Panton made. Panton threatened to stab him and rushed at him with a knife. Schonbeer snatched up a tomahawk and struck Panton twice, then took to the bush and wandered and was lost, lieing some time without food. At the time of his arrest he was wearing the murdered man's shirt ami boot-, which he states Pantou gave him.
