WHITELEY MEMORIAL CHURCH.

At the monthly tea of the Ladies' Guild in connection with the Whiteley Memorial Church, held on Friday evening, a congregational welcome, was tendered to Rev. 11. A. CI. Keck, who was recently appointed second minister in the circuit. Welcome addresses were delivered by Rev. T. G. Brooke and Mr. E. Chatterton, junior circuit steward; and Rev. Keck replied. Mr. C. Carter, senior circuit steward, brielly reviewed and explained the quarterly balancesheet just issued to the congregation, showing that £22:! was raised during the quarter by Whiteley Church, and the circuit debt had been 'reduced by ;G2'J; CKi was raised by special effort. The Ladies' (luild held its annual meeting, officers being elected as follows:—President, Mrs. T. G. Brooke.; vice-president, Jlrs. Canucll: associate secretaries, Miss Elsie Veale and Mrs. Sharpe; treasurer, Mrs. Ambury. A committee, comprising the ollieers and the ■ circuit stewards' wives, was set up as a furnishing committee for the new parsonage. The parsonage will be thrown open to (he congregation on Thursday afternoon next, so that they may inspect the building before it is' occupied by the minister and his family. Afternoon tea is to be provided.
