VOLCANIC ACTIVITY.
Pel' Press Association. Auckland, April 24. J lie correspondent of the Star telegraphed to-day that the limtpeliu hail been invisible from Tnupo since Friday, owing to wet weather. In connection with the outbreak on Ruapehu, more than ordinary interest is manifested in the abnormal activity of Ngauruhoe, its vulcanic neighbor, which, siuee th« middle of February, Jias daily thrown lip clouds of dust which can be" seen rolling down the mountain side, being apparently 100 heavy to rise. The geyser continues to give displays in Tokaa'nu township, but its activity is decreased. Auckland, April 24. The Okahune correspondent of the Herald states 1 lint a Blight shock of •earthquake was jfelt there last night, accompanied by a dull rumbling, a'he weather has been too unsettled to permit of nil ascent of Ruapehu.
