NEW ZEALAND ARTIST'S SUCCESS.
Per Press Association. Wellington, April 23. Private advices have been received that some pictures from the brush of I Mr. W. F. Parrand, of .Wellington, have been accepted out of many hundreds of others for (he Royal Institute Exhibition in London. Another of his works has been hung in the Dudley gallery. Mr. Burrand belongs to a family, which has made a name for itself in the art world. His father, the late C. D. Barrand, was one of the most prominent artists in the colony, nud his uncle, P. P. Barrand, of England, is a noted painter of cathedrals and street scenes.
