GUBERNATORIAL PEREGRINATIONS.
Per Press Association. Alexandra South, April 17. His Excellency the. (iovernor commenced his ollicinl visit to Central Otago >< this morning. He was met at a number ot places en route, and presented with an nil(lress"of welcome. Even-where the reception accorded to His Excellency was enthusiastically loyal, and in his replies His .Majesty's representative thanked tho people, not only for their kindness in inecliiig. but for their expressions of loyally to the throne. At Alexandra tonight a conversazione was held to give the townspeople an opportunity of meeting the (iovernor. There wis a very large attendance. An address of welcome was presented and His Excellency, m returning thanks, said he hoped to return to Hie district nt some future time, accompanied by Lady Plunket. Tomorrow His Excellency goes on to Cromwell.
