One of the biggest land sales of the present, year has recently been made hv Messrs ft Griffiths and Co., of New Plymouth, 'they having sold that line c&tnf.i m the Northern Wniroa known as '■(linona" and containing 10,000 acres, on behalf of Mr George Niclvolls, -of- 1 Auckland, to Mr George Ridded, of Now Plymouth, the price being just about CoO.OOO, with slock. Mr V. W. Pagan actually made the sale, and wkhi. higi client made a. special steamer trip to inspect the property. The same, firm reports having sold since Christmas ; three line sheep runs, totalling 20,000 acres, the purchase money for which is over €IOO,OOO. They have also made main- sales of local town properUe» ami farms just lately, and report 'that the demand for all classes of property is I still very keen.
