Al. the Australasian Merchants' banquet at the Trocadero, one hundred and fifty guests were present, including several Australian ex-Governors and others prominently connected with the colonies, and"the Agents-General. Ix>rd Jersey presided. Mr. Deakin and Sir W. Lyue made speeches dealing with the question!) of Australian trade and preference.
