ADDIXGTOX REPORT. Per I'.icss Association. Cliristchurcli, April 10. At the Addington 1-ve stock market to-day there was a la'rge yarding of all classes of stock, and a good attendance of buyers. There was no material change in prices, and on the whole last week's rates were maintained, Fat lambs were entered iu large numbers, the quality being fairiy good. Export buyers operated freely, and prices were firmer than last week. Freezers brought 13/10 to 17/, heavy weight to 20/2. Store sheep were largely yarded, and included more lambs than usual, hut there was no specially good lines of ewes. The demand was brisk , and a good portion of the yarding was disposed of at late rates. Two-tooth ewes brought up to Hi/!); ewes of mixed ages 14/1; lambs 14/3 to 14/4; haif-brcd wethers 1073.

The yarding of fat sheep was fairly large. The ranges of prices was— Prime wethers 17/0 to 23/3, extra heavy 20/, lighter lti/0 to 17/3; prime ewes 10/0 to UI/4, extra heavy to 21/. medium 13/0 to 10/3, aged and unfinished 10/ to 12/0.

Ther was a poor yarding of store cattle, and the sale was dull. Yearlings brought 8/, 15 to 18 months £l- - to £1 15/0; 2 year old steers .12 2/0 to £2 7/0; 2 year old heifers £2 2/0; dry cows £3 to £3 15/. There was an exceptional entry of fat cattle, the entry comprising 400 head, which is the largest number entered in this department for some time. Prices were about the same as last week. Steel's made £0 15/ to £ll 5/; heifers £4 17/0 to £8 17/0, «nd cows £4 15/ to £8 12/0, equal to 20/ to 22/ for inferior beef, 22/ to 25/ for prime, and 25/0 to 20/0 for extra good, per. 10011). Veal calves made 4/ to 10/ for small sorts, 10/ to 20/ for medium, and up to £2 for extra good.

There was a fair entry of fat pigs, hut prices were easier. The range of prices was as follow^—Baeoners.4o/ to 50/, extra heavy 55/, equal to i',U\ per lb. No large stores were entered. DUNEDIN, April 10. At the Btirnslde stock market about 3800 sheep were penned. Although the yarding was so iarge there were not many really good sheep forward, the majority being medium wethers and poor quality ewes. In consequence of the large yarding, prices for good wethers declined by 1/ 'to 1/0, and for medium and poor sorts the drop was much lower. Quotations—Best wethers from 21/ to 23/0, extra 24/1) to 25/0, good 18/0 to 20/0, medium 13/ to 10/o;'best ewes 17/ to 18/0, extra up to 20/. good 14/0 to 10/, medium !)/ to 12/0. Pigs—2ss yarded. Small pigs did no; sell well, but baconers anil porkers fully maintained last week's rates. Quotations—Suckers 0/ to Ift/, slips 12/ to 18/, stores 20/ to 28/. porkers 32/ to 38/, large bat-oners 43/ to 48/, ficavv 58/ to 70/.

Lambs—A heavy yarding, about lfi-00. the majority being of prime quality, and a few pens of stores. At the beginning of the saie prices were hardly equal to last week's rates, but improved towards the finish. Quotations—Best lambs to 15/, extras to IH/ft, good 13/ to 15/, medium 10/0 to 12/, small 7/0 to )0/. Fat cattle.—A full yarding, principally inferior and unfinished cattle. Prices for prime were on a par with la=t week's; but for medium and light there was not a great demand, and prices were not so good. Best bullocks £9 10/ to £lO 10/, good £8 to £!), light £5 10/ to £7 15/. good heifers £4 10/ to £O- - extra good £7 15/.

NEWTON KING'S REPORT. At the Haymarket on Saturday pigs sold at low prices, weancrs making 2/0 to 8/, small stores 1(1/. At, tile mart cockerels made 1/4 to 1/ft, hens 1/1 to 1/7, pullets lid to 1/8, turkeys 5/;j. Furniture sundries made low prices. Fruit.— At suics during the week the following prices were rcal'scd:— Cooking apples inferior, 1/ to 2/0 box, choice dessert 7/ to 8/li, pears 4/ to (i/, oranges 8/ to 10/, lemons 2/li to «/. bananas 2/ to 11/. according to quality, quinces Id per Hi. melons 5/ cwt, pumpkins 4/ cwt.
