CANADIAN RAILWAY DISASTER
TRAIN PRECIPITATED OVER EMBANKMENT. 15 ENGLISH EMIGRANTS KILLED. Received 12th, 11.15 p.m. Ottawa, April 12. A broken rail wrecked a tvans-coiili-nental train at Chapelan, Ontario, and precipitated it down an embankment. The carriages took fire and nine adults and six children, mostly English emigrants, were killed or burned to death.
