MLLiONS NOT EARNING A LIVING WAGE. Berlin. April S. The Central Committee of the tier-' man irade Unions report that millions are i>jt receiving a living wage. In 27 out of 68 organised trades the average wage fc below 3s per day, including the clothing industry, representing 242,000 workers; the Saxon textile industrv, 225,000; North and South German lex tile Unions, 244,000; and the tobacco industry, 150,000. The Socialist paper Voerwartz declares that two and a half millions of ekilbd lalwrers are earning between Is fld and 3s a dav.
