TAIUNAKI KUGBY UNION. ANN L!All MEETING. The annual meeting was held at Strntford on Friday evening, there being present: Messrs T. Buchanan (Clifton), m the chair, V. K. Hardy, A. Hanson (Eltliam), L. C. Jennings (Clifton), \V. D. I'owdrcll (Uawera), O'Dea and Forsyth (Opunake), A. Humphries and F. T. Bellringer ((Star), J)r Fookes (Tukapa), IX Malone (Kiratford). D. l.\ Evans (lnglewood), Ciirgill, Shields (l'atea). 11. Christ'c (Waiimitf), <T. O'Sullivan (Okalawa), and 11.I 1 . Sknglund (lion, secretary). The annual report and sheet were road and adopted. Mr .1). Malone moved and Mr T. Buchanan seconded: "That the Kaponga Football Club be granted a district under the Tiirmiiiki liughv Cnion, wil'li boundaries as follows: Northern boundary—Mountain Keserve between (lie Stra.fmd western and Opunuke eastern boundaries. Southern boundary—Skeet road from Auroa road to .Palmer road. Eastern boundary--Along I'alnier road to railway reserve, along railway reserve eastward to Kapuni stream, along Kapuni stream eastward to Elthani road, along Eltliuin road eastwards to ijreSent EKliam boundary, thence along the ElIliiim and Stratford western boundaries to the Mountain Reserve. Western boundary—Auroa road northward to its junction with tile present Opunake eastern boundary, 'thence to the Mountain Reserve."
Amendment (Christie —T)r Fookes,): That southern boundary he extended along Skeet road to the eastern boundary of the Opunake district. —Carried. The 'Kaponga delegates were then admitted to the meeting, and Messrs I<\ Ony and 0. Crawford then took their seats as delegates. It was resolved that the headquarters of the Union be at Stratford; that Mr F. T. Bellringor be president, and Mr P. Skoglund be elected secretary. An honorarium of £lO 10s was voted to Mr Skoglund for his services during the past year. Mr Buchanan was elected treasurer. On the motion of Mr Hardy and Dr Fookes it was decided that Eltham be transferred from southern division to northern division. The following management committee was elected: Southern division, Messrs Powdrell, O'Dea and Cargill; northern division, Messrs Humphries, Buchanan, and Malone. Mr A. Bayly was elected vice-president of the N'.Z.it.F.U., and Messrs Holmes, Fache and Skoglund delegates. Messrs Webster and Glenn were reappointed "non. auditors. It was decided that clubs pay 10 per cent of net proceeds from gate takings at all matches during the season to the union.
It was resolved, on the motion of Messrs Powdrell and Guy, "That by-ltiW 7 be altered to rood: 'That a Selection Committee of three be appointed for the purpose of selecting representative teams and arranging all practices therewith, and that the selectors be appointed as follows; One to be appointed by the southern members of the management committee; one to be appointed by the northern members of the management committee; one (who shall be chairman) to be appointed by the, whole of the management committee,' and that three "electors from southern division and three from northern division to Select teams for test matches." It was resolved that the management committee shall decide where linal of championships shall be played. The management committee to take the whole Of the gate proceeds and to pay the expenses of the travelling teams. It was agreed that the Referees' Associiitiort be' permitted to appoint a delegate to the annual meeting, such delegates to be given the powers of a senior delegate, and that rule 3 be amended to carry this into effect. The usual votes of thanks concluded the meeting.—Hawera Star.
