YOUNG GIRL'S RASH ACT.
«— TIRED OF LIFE. Per Press Association. (Jhristehureh, April 5. A most painful incident occurred 'litis evening when a young girl named Rva Williams, 20 years of age, a resident of Aikman's road, Papauui, attempted, apparently in a fit of desperation, to drown herself by jumping into the river from the Victoria street bridge. A lady who was passing at the time heard the splash and gave the alarm, ami after some difficulty she was brought ashore, despite her protestations and appeals to be allowed to drown. A doctor was called, and 'the girl was taken to the hospital .where site progressed favorably towards recovery.
