A large number of visitors arrived from Dunedin by Ihe expresses on Saturday evening, and a heavy inllux from other parts is confidently expected at Iv'.sler. At the orchestral concert on Saturday I evening a pleasing love song from the new Jiaori cantata by Alfred Hill was rendered by the orchestra for the first time, Airs, (lower Burns taking the solo. The Turakina poi (lancers arrived at the Alaori pa on Saturday morning, and will give performances daily during their stay at the Inhibition. A prominent Vicorian merchant and manufacturer, who as made a prolonged inspection of the jxhibition, expresses his surprise at the xtent and high quality of the display if manufactured goods by Canterbury irms. One of the incidents ronneded with the closing ceremonies of < lie Exhibition, which will take J ii'ee on .Monday, April 15, will be the presentation by llis Excellency the Governor, as Patron of the Exhibition, of the certificate awards. It is not suggested that llis Excclelnoy will present each successful exhibitor, but a formal presentation of the awards will lie made to a committee appointed by the exhibitors to receive tlicm. Steps are being taken to close the Exhibition on Monday, April 15, and arrangements are being made by which the Australian squadron, which will lie in Lyttelton on that day, will take part ill the ceremony.
