THE JENA DISASTER.
STATEMENT BY MINISTER OF MARINE. > Received 21st, 9.55 p.m. Paris, March 21. In the French Chamber, the Minister for Marine announced that the Senate accepted the appointment of a Parliamentary committee to enquire into the Jena explosion. He declared a committee of officers was inclined to attribute the disaster to a short circuit, and not to decomposition of ammunition. He added that the ammunition was overhauled in September.
