FANCY SWIMMING GALA
The fancy swimming gala at tlio baths last night was well patronised, and prov(id most enjoyable. Tile 33yds sprint produced an exceptional linisii, not two feet separating the six competitors at the finish, and they seemed to touch almost simultaneously, a tribute to the handicapping. The "fancy" programme included :i whole "box of tricks," and produced greal merriment. .The officials were; Starter and liandk-apper Mr W. Lints; judges. Messrs (!. Tiscll and K. Webster; secretary, -Air C. 12. Seabrigiit; and the club committee. The arrangements were such as to relleet the greatest credit on ail the workers, a Wongs; whom Messrs L I!. Webster and H. Stoekcr were prominent. The results were;— Hoys' race, 33yds,thirteen Starters: Hiyley IJg.i-/' I,' Ilau-ke (3 see) 2, Laing (scr.) :i. Corfu 'dive, ten competitors: Nutt 1, Stoiir 2. I'm.ling the North Pole: Nutt 1. Long dive: Hardgraves (33yds) ], Pfankuch 2. Springboard and' high dive, ten competitors: Laing (20 points) I, Nutt (ltl points) 2. Cigar and umbrella race: 'A. V, Stohr 1, Gibbons 2. fancy .living: Ilarle (34 pointy 1, Dixon (22 point-) 2. Kelay wee, Stolir's team (Stohr, Ilarle, llrown ami Hlylhe) 1, beat Storey's team (SJorev, ilardgra.ves.
