Mr Jennings, according to notice, moved that a return allowing the number <>f reserves, with area of same, which are utilised by way of occupation, be submitted to next meeting. Mr Jennings said the Hoard should have information beside them as to the extent of the reserves not brought into occupation, aud, in this connection, he said he had written to other Boards of School Commisioners with a view of ascertaining the extent of the area of reserves unoccupied throughout the colony. Mr Faull could hardly the object of the motion, as the unoccupied reserves were advertised every year.—The chairman said the particulars could be obtained from the list of advertised section-, lie suggested that tin* secretary rule out the reserves let trom the lime they were Jast year put up 1o and inn.—.Mr Jennings said this would answer the same purpose, and the inf»tinn. in this form, was sieved to.
Mr Jennings next moved as follows: "That the amount of arrears at this date v for rent on reserves be "submitted at next nu'oCng, the return showing names I' ami amounts.'' He explained that the sections were under oiler and accepted by the New Plymouth Borough Council on certain conditions which could not, be completed bv June Urd, I!KJf». at which date the School Commissioners had decided to puf up the sections to auction.
