Smart, secretary of St. Andrew's Church committee, asked for better street lighting between Cover street and the Presbyterian Church, on dark nights the insufficient light was very inconvenient-. lie suggested moving the light at West and Son's to the pole directly opposite the church.—Referred to the Works Committee. RAILWAY DEVIATION. Tim; Acting Resident Engineer, in answer to the Council's letter, wrote |hat the right-of-way had been fence.l oil' giving access from Autere street to the beach under the railway bridge, and that a track suitable for pedestrians would shortly be (formed. The Town Clerk said the engineer and the Departnieiit- were determined to do away with all level crossings.
