Altkund, March 11 A man named Harry Linnell, aged 50, expired at tho hospital this mornmwlule b:mg placed under the influence of an anesthetic. The patient was suffering from cancer, and as he had recently had his tonguo removed, there nas a risk-ol death in performing a second operation. Dr Savage in formed Lmnel'. of the position, and that an operation was tho only chance of saving the patient's life. Linuolt elected to take the risk rather than wait for the dread certainty, end unlortuuately, he collapsed under the' chloroform as was feared.
