BDBJECT FOB COLONIAL CONFERENCE, DISCUSSION URGED BY CHAMBEBS OF COMMERCE. Received 8, 9.38 p m. London, March 8. The Associated Chamber of Commerce urged the Government to so conduct negotiations with the Colonial Conference that reciprocal trading may be promoted within the Empire. The mover, Mr Rcade, of the Belfast Chamber of Commerce, maintamed that the eo'.or : es wished preference, aud if refused, Canada, particularly, would seek it elsewhere, thus leadiug to disi he Empire. There were a dozeu dissentients to this new.
