TRENTHAM RIFLE MEETING.
Per Press Association TiiE.vTitAM, March 2. The Nelson and Canterbury matches were eomploted this afternoon. A half gale was blowing, and driving rain fell. Consequently scoring was low, and some of the best, marksmen in the colony failed at tho 1000 yards range to secure double figures. Cameron, who had hitherto held (lie lead in the aggregate, broke down at this range, getting only 12, which put him a good way down the list. His position was taken by AV. Cox, an ex-Bisloy representative, with 339, followed by Ayson (Murihiki) 338, and Perrin (Linton) 337.
