From Our Own Correspondents WAKKA. The Taranaki Provincial Executive wrote asking for a Delegate to be sent from the branch to attend the meet ng to be held at New Plymouth at tinend af May.—Mr Ucorge P. Jones was elected as delegate. It was resolved to forward another donation to light the Laud Bill.

■ AH mailers in regard to noxious Weeds were considered. It was resolved to bring up the matter before the Conference at New Plymouth, w.th the suggestion that the (.iovernmcnl should be asked to pass an Act to give inspectors power to deal with noxious weeds on Maori lands. Mr lieorge ..ls proposed that a small ltoad Board be formed at the northern e id of the Parihaka ltoad district, as Inconsidered they were not getting justice done to the Warea lload at present, and thought tney could do better on their own if there were a small board formed. It was dec ded to bring this matter before the Conference as well and to see what could Indone, and also to consider it at the next meeting of this branch. Mcsdames Millar, Larking, and Clothier Were re-elected a committee for the ensuing year, it was decided to endeavour to put away a sum of money annually for the purpose of building a church. The ground has already been obtained.

A sale of fruit and vegetables took place on Monday evening; the attendance was fair. Tile evening was epent in dancing ami singing. Songs were given by Rev. T. Fisher, Me<.-rs King, W. Larking, and Mrs Fred Kinuie. Miss Francis supplied the music (or the dance, and Mr W. Mcbichlnu acted as M.C. The frui( was auctioned by Air Larking and some good prices were realised. After the sale an excellent supper was handed round. The proceeds at the door amounted to nearly £4, and the fruit brought nbout £2 Bs. The social closed about I o'clock by singing "God save the King."
